In this juried exhibition visual artists share their work produced while protecting themselves, family and friends during COVID-19. Whether pursuing their current themes or sharing a personal response to the pandemic, the work in this virtual exhibit will be diverse and will affirm the steadfast values associated with the visual arts.
Eligibility
All artists residing in the USA.
Submissions
Submissions are uploaded to Creativity in Captivity at https://creativityincaptivityresponsestocovid19.artcall.org/ . Submissions end January 15, 2021 at 11:59 pm. Each artist may submit two works for consideration. Work must be original.
Entries can be withdrawn and different pieces submitted up until submissions close; January 15, 2021, at 11:59 pm.
Entry Fee
The Entry Fee for this exhibition is $30.00; one or two (2) entries. Up to two additional detail views may be submitted with each piece.
The Kauffman Gallery and Shippensburg University reserves the right to use the images submitted in this virtual exhibition for publicity purposes.
Entry in the exhibition will constitute agreement to the Terms and Conditions described herein.

Awards
$2,000.00 in cash awards will be provided to works selected by the judge, given by Shippensburg University and others. In addition, a piece or pieces of work will be purchased for the SU Permanent Art Collection. Additional awards may be given.
Award winners will be identified when the virtual exhibit opens on January 25, 2021 at 7 pm.

Sales
The Kauffman Gallery retains a 25% commission on all sales during or directly attributed to the Creativity in Captivity exhibit.
Kauffman Gallery at Shippensburg University
The Kauffman Gallery has a diverse exhibition schedule featuring art work by international and nationally recognized artists. Nine exhibits are presented annually.
Shippensburg University is located in the Cumberland Valley in south-central Pennsylvania. The university was established in 1871 and boosts a rich tradition of quality education in liberal arts, sciences, education and business.
